LOOKING AROUND

Harry Wincott after forty years' retirement as a performer, was the guest artiste, together with his wife, at the Odeon Cinema, Yeovil, Somerset, in a show given by local talent the other Friday night. Harry sang a couple of his own compositions (one dressed as a dame) and his wife, Daisy, gave an impression of Bransby Williams in his monologue, "Devil May Care," and in broken English a Dutch one entitled "Jacob Straus." Both numbers were a grand success. The final tableau, invented and arranged by Mrs Wincott was "Brittania" with two little children at her feet, surrounded by soldiers, sailors, airmen and the local Home Guard and the performers who took part in the show.
