Census Information 1851 - Eliza / Elizabeth Taylor and Family

This record shows what happened to Eliza and the family when Isaac was in Gaol
Emily was born out of wedlock and well after the death of Timothy GIFFIN but she later
took the surname of Timothy and showed him as her Father on her wedding ccertificate
possibly because Isaac TAYLOR was in gaol and left the rest of the family to have to go
to the Workhouse

Elizabeth TAYLOR is shown on a page headed "1 Class Able Bodied Women" and she is
followed by Maria - the rest of the page has "pairs" of what looks like Mother and
Child so I assume Maria is the child of Elizabeth - I think this is Eliza - Isaac's
wife

Emily is shown as TAYLOR possibly to reflect that she came in with Mother Eliza / Elizabeth
and is shown on a page headed up "Infants Ward"
