Note :- The Lodge, Alexandra Park is where Rose's brother Albert George was living so they must have come from
the Isle of Wight via her brother's on the way to Australia.
RMS OTRANGO
Otranto was not released by the government until August 1948, and was refitted by Cammell Laird at Birkenhead,
being given accommodation for 1416 tourist class passengers only. She was also fitted with two outdoor swimming
pools, and a large playroom for children. On 14 July 1949, Otranto left Tilbury, arriving in Sydney on 19 August.
