Awarded Carnegie Scholarship of one year for the Study of Radio Engineering Development, during this period studied in England
with the Post Office Engineering Research Departmen, Dollis Hill, with B.B.C. Broadcast and Television Research Departments, with
the National Physical Laboratories, with the Metroploitan Police Radio System, and with the Marconi Company, the Standard Telephone
Company, Mullards, and Marconi-Osram Companies.
In Holland with Phillip's Research Laboratories at Eindhoven and their works and Radio Stations at Hilversum. In United States of America with the Carnegie Institute, Bell Laboratories, R.C.A. Laboratories and Factories, the National Bureau of Standards, the American Telegraph and Telephone Company, with Major Armstrong at Columbia University, with the Yankee Broadcasting Network, Boston, with the National Broadcasting Company, New York. Study covered Broadcasting, Police Systems, Dialled Radio Circuits, Single Sideband Radio Telephony, Frequency Modulation, Steerable Arrays etc. In Hawaii studied Inter Island V.H.F. Radio Telephony circuits. In Netherlands, East Indies studied with P.T.T. Multi-channel Radio Telephony and Broadcasting with N.I.R.O.M. Received the congratulations of the Secretary of State for the Colonies and the Carnegie Foundation for his subsequent report. |
